It depends. You have to report all income you earned during the year on your tax return. If it was your 14 year old son's earnings, then you would report that on his return. This small, side income is reported on a Schedule C (self-employment income). If the total income is below $400, then you would not have to pay self-employment tax on this income, but it is subject to income tax.
For tax purposes, self-employment income includes any part-time businesses or "side work" performed in which you are in business for yourself, rather than another person. You are also considered self-employed if you engage in business-like activities where you intend to make a profit.
