Should my legal structure be llc or sole proprietorship. I am just starting a job where I am going to be an independent contractor and I have a small crafting business.

my husband wants to be able get the most out of our tax return since we are in a higher tax bracket. In previous yrs I have had no income to report.  Will I need to file a separate tax return in my business structure is llc or can I include it in our joint tax return. Will sole proprietor structure be my better option since I don't have any employees?

Most small businesses elect to be an LLC for legal protection. You will not file a separate return for the LLC, it will be added to your personal return when you file. It does not matter than you will not have employees, you can still be an LLC.
