Schedule C (Captioning): Activity name must be entered - What does this mean?
Upon entering the Federal Review step of my filing, I am taken to a page that says the following:
"Schedule C (Captioning): Activity name must be entered"
It appears that it wants me to enter a business name, but I was an independent contractor, not a business owner.
Do I enter the name of the company who paid me, my own name, or something else?
This is under Line B ("Trade or Business Name") of of section titled "Qualified Business Income Deduction Info".
Thank you.

You can just enter a brief description of the service that you were providing to the business that gave you the 1099. For example: consulting, construction, or something to that effect.

Thank you! Under "Business Name", would I enter the name of the company that paid me or my own name?
