I hired a contractor for a real estate business upstart and paid for her travel expenses on my credit card. I'm a sole proprietor. I haven't had any business income yet.
Do I put that under "Business Travel"? "Contract Labor"? or a different entry?
Thank you.

If you paid for their travel expenses and included it in the 1099 you issued to them (or it was part of the bill they gave you) then it is all contract labor.
Otherwise I would make a separate category for this in the miscellaneous section at the end and NOT enter it in the travel section since YOU did not do the traveling.
