What is the release date for 2023 maryland partnership return turbotax software

The Forms Availability Table for TurboTax Business indicates that the Maryland State Partnership module is estimated to be released on March 1, 2024. Because updates are released after business hours Pacific time, we recommend that you wait until the next day to download the file for installation.

@PatriciaV Is possible that you are able to request an escalation for the issue regarding the Maryland Partnership forms? A similar issue has happened in previous years. We, as customers, continue to get told that the forms are not ready yet (2/16, 3/1, and now 3/8)... meanwhile it always turns out that it is a programming error/glitch with TurboTax that needs a work around. 

The Maryland Partnership forms have been available and approved for TurboTax's use since at least 01/26/2024. Here's a link to view that on Maryland's tax website:

I have spoken to multiple TurboTax reps on the phone today, none of which have been able to offer a solution. My computer operating system is up-to-date; I've deleted cookies; I've deleted older versions of TurboTax. None of which fixed the issue.  This issue is not user error and it's not a forms issue. It is a program issue. 

The TurboTax Business software let me pay for the "Maryland Partnership" forms. So it seems that they are "available." But the software does not recognize the download. 

The 3/15 deadline is quickly approaching. Please - this issue needs the urgent attention of the program developers.

The Partnership Forms for Maryland for both Windows Desktop and TurboTax Online have an available date of March 8.  .  The online version will be updated automatically, but it may be good if you delete your cookies once more.  If you are using the Desktop version, go ahead and do another update.

  • Make sure you have ran all the updates

@LeticiaF1  Thank you for your response. I will certainly keep an eye out for the forms being available on 3/8. 

In the meantime, are you able to please submit a request to escalate this situation to your supervisors? This has been an ongoing issue. The form availability date continues to get pushed back by TurboTax (while Maryland has approved TurboTax’s use of the forms since 1/26.)  

It clearly appears that there is a glitch with the programming of the TT software.

Currently the Turbo Tax release date is 3/8/2024 for the MD partnership return (Windows edition) and the due date for the Federal return that feeds into it is 3/15/2024.   I like to efile my related returns at the same time. So, Turbo tax is giving me a window of 1 week to complete the MD return and efile (assuming you have time this specific week).  It is also holding up my other downstream filings. For the price I am paying for this software, I will definitely be looking at other options next year.  This is not a professional way to run a business.

Agree - total BS in my opinion. ....having one week to file is ridiculous.  Definitely switching software next year!!
