More info: CT changed its forms this year and "Form CT-1065/CT-1120SI has been changed from the Connecticut Pass-Through Entity Tax Return to the Connecticut Composite Income Tax Return."
TurboTax business does not yet support the new "Connecticut Composite Income Tax Return" form nor does it support Pass Through Entity Tax or form CT-PET.
I was chatting with support today and was not given an answer on whether they will support the new CT forms prior to the new April 15 filing deadline. The advice I was given was to file the Federal Return and then file the CT return directly with myconnectCT.
Not great.
Despite State update/download today, as of 3/24 6:46 PM EDT, CT- PET not available on TurboTax. This crazy... is it TT or the State of CT?
I paid $55 for the State download and another $50 for an "TT expert " who did basically nothing to navigate ... really? When are these guys going to get their act together? Refund?
It's primarily caused by the State of CT redesigning its forms and having a delayed rollout (the new CT forms are overly complex). That being said, TT needs to provide clear guidance on if and when they will be supporting the new CT-PET form. Nobody I have talked to at TT has any idea of what I am talking about when I ask about the CT-PET form.
I contacted CT DRS both via phone and messaging service on myconneCT...reps on the phone had no clue what I was speaking about. The reply I got on the messaging service was:
Received: Tuesday, Mar 25, 2025 4:04:53 PM
Subject: RE: Having trouble getting the 2024 Pass-through entity tax forms from my tax prep software provider
Please contact TurboTax for questions relating to their third party software.
DRS offers the option to electronically file 2024 Form CT-PET for free through myconneCT.
Sincerely,
CT DRS
Guess we'll have wait for TT to sort it out or file via myconneCT... maybe get a refund from TT for state download?
The data from my Federal 1065 is still not populating my CT forms. Has this issue been corrected?
Any updates?
