Wife gets paid a little for looking after her Mother (Taking her to the Doctor, helping her with shopping, and other such chores). She received a 1099-NEC. So its not a big complex business but it seems we have to fill Schedule C. Most of it seems straight forward and needs to be left blank (I'm sure we are probably missing out on some advantages of claiming expenses), but one question has stumped me:
Schedule c - Is this activity Qualified trade or business (Y/N) ?
What do I enter for this?
Also I used Business Code 621610 Home health care services which is listed under Health Care & Social Assistance - Is that correct?

That is correct for the business code and this type of work is a Qualified trade or business, so answer yes there.
You can review What self-employed expenses can I deduct? to see if you want to claim any allowable expenses against her self-employed income too.
