Last year, this behavior did not happen.
My taxes owed have skyrocketed at double the rate, I am not sure if this is an error or if there is something else afoot.
How do I get the 1099-MISC to stay in the Business income, and not replicate in the personal income??
Thanks

There are two places where you can enter a form 1099-MISC, in the business income section and in the personal income section. You may have entered it in both places. You have to remove the entry from the personal income section as follows:
Work through that section to delete the form 1099-MISC.
From my experience, when you enter a 1099-MISC into one section, it will "appear" in both sections. But it's only "counted" by the program in the section you entered it in.
