Out of state taxes for LLC

Hi,

Last year I was a part-time resident of Washington DC (before that I was living abroad), and while in DC, I registered an LLC in Kansas, which didn't have any business transactions in 2024.

What do I need to do for the LLC in Kansas in terms of filing taxes, both federally and on the state level? I think I just include it in my personal federal and DC returns, do I need to file anything separately for Kansas?

Thanks,

Victor

You don't need to file a Kansas personal income tax return since you earned no income from that state. You do need to file a Kansas annual report for the LLC, but no company income tax return need be filed if you don't have any assets or income in the LLC.
