loading 2024 data into 2025 partnership software

trying to start 2025 return - system found and loaded one LLC but not another one -- I can find in my 2024 file but it has a document extention -- any ideas ow to find an old return

Re the .tax file, you can do a search on your computer but if you don't have a backup, that's a problem.

I can't find that .tax file, BUT I can open the 2024 file using turbo tax business

since i can open last year using 2024 why doesnt 2025 load it?

You can't open the 2024.tax2024 file with the 2025 TurboTax product. 

You need to transfer the 2024 file into the 2025 product (return).

open 2025. select "start new return". Turbotax should search your computer for the 2024 file. it will appear in a new window. once found click on "transfer return".    worse case open 2024. once the file is loaded save it to your desktop. then start 2025 but in this case use the "find a tax file link" then browse to your desktop.

normally with a Windows computer the default location for the tax file is c:\users\users-name\documents\Turbotax folder. Best to run the apps as an administrator if you can

For #1; when I started this year I did open a new rturn -- it found one LLC but not the other one

For #2; i have searched all files -- cant find it ??
