Hi,
I have a disregarded LLC and in 2017 I filed my LLC tax return with my personal tax return using Turbo Tax and I was able to use my LLC EIN in the tax return. In 2018 my LLC did not produce neither income or expenses so Turbo Tax did not include my LLC information in the tax return. My question is as I have EIN for my LLC, does IRS realize that my tax return does not include information about my LLC because I did not have any income in that year? In another work, will having EIN for a disregarded LLC change the ability to file the tax return with personal return?
Thank you.

the answer to your question is that having an LLC with and EIN but no income does not prevent you from filing a 1040 with no schedule C. Will the IRS contact you about not filing the schedule for 2018? No way to know for sure. But if it does, just send back the notice saying you had no income or expenses for 2018.
