I am entering actual vehicle expenses and having an issue with the Car and Truck Expenses Worksheet. On Line 9, the percent of business use is not calculating correctly. The percentage is half of what it should be.
For example...
Line 6a Business miles 1/1/22 thru 6/30/22: blank
Line 6b Business miles 7/1/22 thru 12/31/2022: 2000
Line 5c Total miles: 4501
Line 9 Percent of business use: 22.22%
Percentage should be 44.43% for the entire year.
I'm working on TT Deluxe Desktop. Please advise. Thank you!

I can't recreate your issue in a test return. It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2022" file that is experiencing this issue.
You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions:
Go to the black panel on the top of your screen and select Online.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
Go back through the vehicle questions, and when it asks you if you kept track of personal miles, say YES.
Thank you. That worked!
Worked for me as well in 2022 taxes. I've never had the TurboTax software give me half before when I checked that I didn't keep mileage records! I just happened to notice it. Now, I'll be sure to check it every time I add an asset.

It only does it the first year and last year that you use your vehicle for business. If the vehicle was used the full year, it doesn't do that.
