So, where does one put expenses paid to Microsoft for Azure or Amazon AWS for a small business?

These are fees paid to MS or Amazon for their cloud product lines, servers mostly.  But storage as well.

If you are a business, self-employed Form 1040, Schedule C: the cost of any apps and online tools you use to run your business, such as subscriptions to Adobe Creative CloudEvernote, or Dropbox can be claimed under Other Common Business Expenses>Other Miscellaneous Expenses.

It's always a good idea to consult with an accountant or bookkeeper to ensure that your expenses are being properly categorized and recorded.

Figuring out where to put expenses for cloud products like Azure and AWS can be a bit confusing, but I'm happy to help.
Typically, these expenses would fall under the ""Technology"" or ""Software"" category in your small business accounting software. You can also create a separate category for ""Cloud Services"" or something similar to keep track of those expenses.
And hey, if you're interested in learning more about AWS and getting certified, I found this aws certifications website that offers AWS training courses and certifications. It might be worth checking out if you're looking to expand your knowledge and skills.
