Ummm, don't think you can install the Desktop program on Mac OS 10.7.5
Mac System Requirements https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899173-minimum-system-requirements-for-turbotax-mac-software
Or if you have another computer......
If you already started in the Online version you can move your return to the Desktop program even without paying for Online. If you already paid for the Online version you can contact them to give you the program download.
First download the .tax2016 file from the Online version,
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899645-how-do-i-save-my-2016-turbotax-online-return-as-a-tax-data...
Then see, How to Switch to Desktop,
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1901476-how-do-i-switch-from-turbotax-online-to-the-turbotax-softw...
After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - New)
Oh, do you still need to buy the CD/Download?

Thank you, that is very helpful. Do you know if there is a way to manually enter a Schedule E or Form 4562 in either one?

Only if you use the Desktop program. Otherwise you have to go through the interview steps. Isn't that working for you?

For depreciation, you need to fill out the Asset Entry Worksheets, or override the software (which voids any guarantees).
Foor the "179", what type of rental property is it (residential, commercial, etc.)?
It is pretty much a waste of money to pay an accountant to only do PART of a tax return. Have them do it all, or none of it. If they do part of it, you pretty much need to re-do it anyways.
