I make stamps for my business. I know the paper/ink falls under "supplies" but how do I categorize the tools I use to make the stamps (linoleum, wood blocks, etc.)?

I am wondering how to categorize the tools I use to make my stamps/products. I do not sell the stamps, I sell notecards that are stamped. They do not really depreciate in value as I make them.

If the tools are hand tools, you can take their cost as a deduction under supplies along with the paper/ink, etc.

If the tools are large purchases (typically more than $200) you can enter them as assets and depreciate them over time.
