There are different types of TINs.
FEIN - Federal Employer Identification Number. This number is issued by the IRS to a business of any business type. It is also issued to Trusts and Estates.
ITIN - Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. This number is issued by the IRS to a living breathing individual that is not eligible for a social security number. Otherwise, it is your social security number.
