Most likely, you simply need to start a new return (see screenshot).

How do I access Form 1041 and Schedule K-1?

If you need to file a Form 1041 (and associated K-1s) for an estate, you need to purchase TurboTax Business (link below).

Note that TurboTax Business must be installed and run in a Windows environment; there is no online or Mac version.

If you have never previously prepared a return for an estate or have no experience with pass-through entities, you might want to seek professional guidance.

Thanks for the prompt reply.  Here is a bit more detail.

I am the executor for my mother-in-law’s estate.  I need to file a Form 1041 to finalize the estate and distribute the 2021 income (Cap gains, & interest) using Schedule K-1.  I have loaded TTBusiness but it will not let me get anywhere other than to generate W-2, 1099-NEC, and 1099-MISC forms.  I have checked the “Fiduciary” circle but that didn’t help.  I haven't found a way to access the Form 1041 and the associated Schedule K-1.   It would seem that the TT software should direct me to the Form 1041 once I tell it that I'm the executor of the estate and that I'm the fiduciary responsible for filing the taxes.  My question at this point is more software related than tax code related.

GREAT idea.   I deleted the file that was causing me headaches and started a new one.  I don't know if I originally overlooked the two opening questions about using TT Business and Quick books but I caught them this time.  By answering "No"  to both, the program took me to the trust and estate side of their "logic tree".  I'm now seeing the forms and schedules I expected to see.  Thanks
