Filing Form 1041 for Trust with no gross income.

I recently obtained a new EIN for a four year old Trust. The confirmation letter says I must file Form 1041 for years dating back to 2014. I never filed any because there is no income in the trust, and never has. Do I just file Form 1041 for 2014-2016 showing zero income?
