Filing An Amended Return

I filed my S-Corp return and later realized it contains an error. I want to submit an amended return following these instructions, but TurboTax says "not eligible for E-filing", despite the original return having been accepted already. Is there something else I need to do?

No.  If you are following those instructions then you are doing everything correctly.  The system should allow you to file the return.

Did you have any attachments that were required or expected with the return?  That can make the efile stuff jumpy.

To my knowledge there are no mailed portions of the return, aside from the K-1's for shareholders. Is there a way I can double check to confirm this?

At this time, TurboTax Business doesn't support e-filing a federal amended 1120-S return if the original return was e-filed using TurboTax. You will need to print, sign and mail the return to the IRS. Follow the filing instructions found at the bottom of the forms list using Forms Mode (Forms icon in the TurboTax header).
