I need to file an Estate Tax Return (1041) for my deceased mother to report the sale of her home and distribution of the home sales income to 3 beneficiaries. Sale of the home is the only item needing reporting. Does Turbo Tax/Intuit have a way to do this online or do I need to buy the full version of the Business Tax Software? I will also need to file a Wisconsin Estate Tax Return.
what is the cost!

TurboTax does not have a way to prepare a 1041 online.
In order to prepare a 1041 with TurboTax, you need TurboTax Business which must be installed and run in a Windows environment. The product does support Wisconsin Fiduciary.

Thanks fir the response. Only need to do 1 tax return and will never use again. Looks like it will cost $180 for Federal plus another $50 for the state. A total of $230. Guess I’ll have an accountant do it. I can save about $100 per the accountant I spoke with. Thanks.
if you have an accountant who will do anything for $150 you are getting a good deal.
maybe cost of living is lower in Wisconsin.

No question. The lowest price I have ever heard for preparation of the simplest 1041 (for an estate or a trust) is $450 and I have (personally) seen these things go north of $5k (and 706s go north of $20k).
