Casualty loss on federal is not flowing to Iowa Schedule A....why?

Federally declared major disaster loss claimed on federal return.  Iowa schedule A has zero for casualty loss but the schedule A says to enter what is included on the federal 4684....but it is not pulling over.  I can't think of a reason this should be disallowed for IA.

You may need to recalculate your casualty/theft loss deduction shown on your federal form 4684 for Iowa purposes. Iowa does not conform to federal policy for Cares 2019 or 2020. See Deduction | Iowa Department Of Revenue.

They have not updated their official website specific to the section on  Iowa Nonconformity: Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Tax Relief Act of 2019.

You may want to contact the Iowa (IA) state department for advice.

Casualty loss on federal is not flowing to Iowa Schedule A....why?

I had the same problem, Fed. declared disaster in 2020 DR-4557 that I had on my fed 4684 did not populate line 18 of Iowa Schedule A.  I had to manually override.  Spent 1.5 hours on the phone with Turbotax support and they agreed with me that there was an issue with the software, but did not seem concerned about letting anyone know to fix the error.   Hope that helps.
