California Form 3805Q

I am filing as a new business S Corp, since I just incorporated in 8/2018.  I operated at a loss in 2019, and I want to declare that loss as a new business.  In trying to enter the principal business activity code on CA Form 3805Q, I found the code under the federal programs.  However, the code under the federal programs is 6 digits long, and there is only space for 4 digits under columns B in line 4.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Am I searching for the code in the wrong place?

Yes. SIC Codes must be used. Check this link for the Standard Industrial Classification Search

I had the same issue. It's a fault (bug) of the software which is a glorified electronic version of the paper form.
