thanks for checking. Just let you know that I am using Home and business edition, not Premier edition.
Most likely, this issue occurs with home and business windows edition only.
Would you able to reproduce this issue on your end using home and business windows edition?
@manbeing - have you checked your Form 3800 in Forms section?
It says DO NOT FILE.
I've run the accuracy test multiple times on my Federal and State review, everything is correct - but when I go to Forms, it that Form 3800 says ' Do not File" - it needs to be updated and the date keeps moving. Same thing happened last year - TT kept moving the update and finally updated it in March.
My information from 2023 was not transferred to 2024. I am doing the business expenses. I had to go to 2023 to see what i claimed last year. when i looked it said "NEEDS REVIEW" and so now i am thinking that is why info did not transfer. I am getting "Needs review in 2024". Same as everyone else .......
@Jenndy43 I went to the FORMS section, but didn't see form 3800 listed there.
I also did a quick test that i started a new tax return. In there, I just entered the basic information of a buiness and then entered some income, afterwords, it showed 'Needs review' for Business Income and Expenses.
It is definitely a defect in Home and Biz.
I think I know what is the root cause of this issue, but i dont why.
If you just enter an expense (no any income), the negative number shows correctly in the Business Income and Expenses section.
Once you enter any income, it shows 'Needs Review'
Once you remove all the income, it shows correctly again with the negative expense numbers.
Do you have a screenshot of "On Business Income and Expenses OTHER BUSINESS CREDITS."?
I don''t have it. I use home and biz windows desktop.
Yep, I'm getting that same Needs Review in the same place.
RE: FORM 3800
It's generated here:
In "Less Common Business Situations" ... Business Credits... click [UPDATE]
Find "General business credits" in the list and click [UPDATE]. This is when FORM 3800 is generated.
And when you find the notice about the form not being ready. Then when you jump over to form view, you will see Form 3800, marked "DO NOT FILE."
Could you please show me where the 'Less Common Business Situations' is? I didn't see it in my TT.

Click on "Guide me: Walk me through everything" in the Business Income and expenses section.
Down below You'll see
LESS COMMON BUSINESS SITUATIONS ( It's the last section).
Then in LESS COMMON BUSINESS SITUATIONS , you'll see Business Credits.
Once you fill that out, Form 3800 is generated.

And on the step by step section, I got this after clicking general business credit.
I just opened 2023 Home and Biz edition.
Since my business didn't have any income in 2023, so it showed a negative number, for the experimental purpose, I entered the business income in 2023 Home and Biz. You know what? It showed 'Needs Review'!!!!!
