1099-NEC form for Rental Income

Hi,

I received 1099-NEC form for rental payment of my rental property. Now after I entered this form in Turbotax it falls under Business Income Category. Do I still need to enter this amount in the Rental Property as Rental Income again?

Thanks

Vincent

Rental income is not reported on a 1099-NEC but a 1099-MISC.  You should notify the payer that they need to correct the reporting.  You should also just enter the amount as your rental income only.
