Your amended return can take up to 3 weeks to show up in the Where's my Amended Return? tool on the IRS website. It will tell you if your return is in received, adjusted, or completed status. The entire amendment process normally takes up to 16 weeks to complete, if you are still waiting on your original return and refund to be processed then it could take longer.
