My 2016 tax return is only 4 pages long but my 2015 and 2014 are 100 pages.

i am applying for a mortgage and my mortgage broker is saying my 2016 tax return is missing pages. its only 4 pages long. my 2015 and 2014 tax returns are upwards of 100 pages

You may have downloaded the basic PDF of your return, which are the forms sent to the IRS.

There is also a larger PDF that has your return plus all the additional forms and calculation worksheets, most of which were not sent to the IRS.  However, your lender should not need all the extra forms and calculation worksheets which are not part of your official return.   Ask the lender what additional pages they want and furnish the ones they need.

• Log in and go to the 2016 Tax Timeline.
• Scroll to the section "Some things you can do."
• You should see a link for "Download/print the PDF" which is the basic version.
• There should also be a link fo "Download all forms and worksheets" which is the larger PDF.
