After ammending an already accepted tax form, how do I know if it was e-filed?

I had to add a 1099 so used the amend option to update my taxes but was not sure it sent properly.

You cannot e-file the 1040-X Amended Return. All amended returns must be filed by mail. Mailing instructions will be provided by TurboTax once you have completed the amended return.

To amend your return, follow the instructions for amending your 2017 return here. The instructions will become available in February 2018.
