You are able to split your refunds in 2 or 3 accounts, but you also will need to put at least $50.of your refund into a U.S. savings bond. Read the link I sent:

You are able to split your refunds in 2 or 3 accounts, but you also will need to put at least $50.of your refund into a U.S. savings bond. Read the link I sent:

It seems you have to first select a US Savings Bond for $50.  But this user found a way to get around that.
