Yes, you'll receive your original refund. If you're amending to claim more money, the IRS says to wait until you've received your original refund before filing an amendment.
You would mail in form 1040X and the new form 1040 and all the schedules. When printing your tax return(s), select the Forms required for filing option. TurboTax will print out what you need to send in.
Once you've received your original refund, feel free to cash or spend it while your amendment gets processed (this can take 12–16 weeks).

weeks after you mailed your amendment, you can start tracking its progress at
