Can I apply for heath care exemption after I have filed my taxes?

I have already filed for 2015 through Turbo Tax.  After I filed, they took me through the steps to see if I qualify for an exemption.  Does this mean I can file for the exemption after I have already filed my taxes?   Help!  Thanks

Yes, you can complete an application for an exemption after your taxes were filed. If you receive an exemption and you there was a penalty included in your return, you can file an amended return to include your exemption number.
