Can I download my 2017 data file after I complete 2017 taxes online?

Next year I want to transfer it to 2018 turbotax disk and stop using online.

Yes, here's how:

Sign in to your account (if you haven't already done so), using the same login you used to file your return.
If you can't remember, go here so we can help you get logged in.
Once you're logged in, go to the bottom of the screen and click My Tax Returns and Documents.
Choose the tax year for the return you want to print
Select Download .tax file (this is the data file needed to transfer to the CD/Download for 2018)
The .tax2017 file will not open without the software installed, but will save in the default location on your computer until you are ready to open it.
