How long does it take to recieve remainder of my refund after tax offsets are taken out

Brandonm call the refund offset line and press option two. I tried to leave the number here but it would not let me post it due to restrictions on this site. When you call it will tell you the exact amount that it will be offset by. Google the number it is the first thing you see when you sear offset number

Mine doesnt show I called hotline this morning and ot was paid I with my refund I knew the amount I'm just saying not everyone says the amount

Gotcha, Mine does not show the reduced amount on the irs site either.

I called the number this morning and tried option 1 didn't show an offset called back with option 2 said I did they took my entire refund:(.

How mlewis says it will show new amount isnt usually the case mine doesnt. And other people ive talked to it doesnt the hotline is like the only way to know

Anytime I hit option 2 it doesn’t work and just tells me to call another number and hangs up

I can’t speak for anyone else, just sharing what I’m experiencing with my personal tax return. Just call the irs and ask them for yourselves! Good luck everyone!

I filed and had a date of deposit. On the day of It disappeared and said I had an offset. My wife is the one with the offset that I claimed for her student loans before we were married. Will they take It all?she owes more than what we are receiving.  How long does It take to receive the remainder to be deposited  if so. I have no other information then saying I have an offset.

Call the offset hotline and hit option 2 for your personal capacity. Id eneter her social to see how mich it is. If they took it it'll say how much they took and when they did. I had an offset and mine geta deposited the 27th and now the hotline says my offset has been paid on the 27th and the amount

Mine says on the bottom tax topic 203 for offsets, but when I call the offset number it no longer says there is a personal debt for dept of education and doesn’t say it was paid or anything so I’m so confused
