Would you recommend the full service for Canadian expats? All of the FAQ's are directed toward US citizens.

I would like to use the full service because I don't feel the DIY is catered to expats, but I'm not sure if the full-service option is suited for me.

Are you a U.S. resident alien? If you are not a U.S. citizen or a resident alien you cannot use TurboTax. To use TurboTax Live Full Service you have to have been a resident alien for the entire year, and you must not have filed Form 1040-NR last year (2021).

A resident alien is treated the same as a citizen as far as your tax return is concerned, so if you were a resident alien for the entire year you could try starting your tax return with the regular TurboTax Online, and upgrade to Live Full Service if you have trouble.
