The IRS does not have my direct deposit information. What can I do?
In the coming weeks, Treasury plans to develop a web-based portal for individuals to provide their banking information to the IRS online, so that individuals can receive payments immediately as opposed to checks in the mail.
If you receive Social Security benefits, see this US Treasury website - https://home.treasury.gov/news/press-releases/sm967
Would like to know if you receive my direct deposit information
this is a public forum. we have no access to your return. look at your return to see if you included direct deposit info. if you didn't, unless your return is rejected so you can add the info, you'll have to wait for a paper check.
If you've already filed and your return has been accepted (or mailed), it's too late to change your bank account for direct deposit. If you have not yet filed your return, you can easily edit the account info you wish to transfer your money into before you file. Follow the instructions here.
