I sent in my amended taxes. When will I know they got them? Can I use track my refund? How do I know when it is a accepted?

Sorry I got interrupted by a house emergency. Did you mail the 1040X amended return?  Amended returns can only be mailed and can take 16 weeks to process.  And they only mail checks for refunds.  Since amended returns can't be efiled you do not get any confirmation or emails back.

After 3 weeks you can track an amended return.  You can look up the Amended return 1040X status
