Will my dependent receive a stimulus check?

Hi All,

I claimed my boyfriend on my taxes as a dependent for 2018 and 2019 because he did not have an income at the time. Will he be able to receive a stimulus check? Is there anything we can do for him to get one? I did not receive any money on my return for him. I did the same for my daughter, she is 20 and not a college student. Is there anything I can do for her to get one? Thank you so much!

dependents are not eligible for the $500 stimulus unless they are under the age of 17.

there is nothing we can do; that is the law under the CARES act.
