Hi so I'm in a weird situation..
Last year when stimulus checks were rolling out I realized that I was incorrectly filed as a dependent on my 2019 taxes.. I have since then amended it and filed my taxes for 2020 claiming the previous two stimulus checks. But the kicker is that filed my 2020 taxes after the first group of people started getting the 3rd stimulus checks 3/13/2021.
My question is will the IRS go off my 2019 taxes because I didn't file before people starting receiving checks.. and if so will they use my amended tax return or the original one that denied me my stimulus money before.
Edit: Sorry I forgot to say that the amended form was submitted a year ago and has already been accepted

The IRS will most likely base it on your amended 2019 return sine your 2020 return hasn't been processed.
The third round of Economic Impact Payments (EIP3) will be based on the taxpayer's latest processed tax return from either 2020 or 2019. If the IRS has received and processed a taxpayer's 2020 return, the agency will instead make the calculation based on that return.
Please see How will the third stimulus impact me? for additional information.
Thanks appreciate it!
