It is too early to amend 2017 now. And a 1040X amended return must be filed by mail, and takes about 4 months to process.

Or are you just fixing a rejected return?

Yes just fixing a rejected return takes 16 weeks ?

Fixing a rejected return is not the same as amending a return.
