What do you mean by "send...to the insurance?" Did you mean to type instead "the IRS?"
We don't know anything about your story. Why were you needing to amend your return?
Were you preparing an amended return and then decided not to send it? If so, on whose initiative were you preparing one--were you amending it to correct something on your own, or did the IRS contact you and ask you to amend your return?
In the usual circumstance, when a filer voluntarily amends their return on their own, the filer should wait for the Federal refund to arrive first, and then they can file the amended return, if needed. The IRS sometimes catches something during processing and makes changes to the refund before sending it to you.
So that being said, what is currently showing for the status of your Federal refund, when you use the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool?

When using that tool, use the original refund amount shown on your Form 1040, Line 35a.
