Why would my indiana state e-filed return be 'pending' for 14 days?

efiled state (Indiana) return on Jan 10. Status at TT says they processed my return and Indiana has it but it's pending. I owe them money, which I'm mailing in.

The Indiana return can't be efiled by the system until after the federal return is accepted.  That is an Indiana requirement.  The IRS did not begin accepting tax returns until today.  So your Indiana return should be processed very soon.

If the federal rejects, the state will automatically. If the federal is accepted, then the IN will be filed.
