Why was my tax refund reduced?

I did my returns and was approved almost 2000 dollars, then my claim was denied and when I fixed my returns I was only approved for about 600 dollars. What happened?

I mailed my m1pr property tax refund on July 28, it’s due on August 15. If they’re behind and don’t process it by the due date. Will I still get my refund?
