Why is it taking so long to get approved?

Its did my taxes on Jan 28th and it was accepted that same day, at least thats what turbo tax says, when i go to where my refund I get nothing, also its been 7 days and the irs nor turbo tax has said in accepted, I also have no emails from the irs stating anything, also its stupid the irs takes 21 days to pay out, because after approval there is no excuse for those lazy people to put it into the bank!!!

This is normal as Accepted means your return was received and the basics (such as the correct social security number) seem to be in order. It can take anywhere from a few days to 3 weeks to update. Until the IRS starts processing it on their own, you may not find record of it or the website may say that you have put in incorrect information when tracking your federal refund. As your return moves through the system, the status of it will be updated accordingly. Continue checking the Where’s My Federal Refund?  tool for updates. Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

As EbonyL122824 stated above, you will need to continue checking Where's my Refund.

Most, but not all, Federal refunds are issued within 21 days of the return being accepted by the IRS .   Please keep in mind that once you e-file or mail your return only the IRS has any control over it.

If there is no record of your return at where's my refund  or you are getting the message "You may not have entered your information correctly",  an important factor can be if you are married filing jointly.  Make sure you are using the Social Security Number for the name that appears first on the return.  Keep in mind that once the IRS notifies TurboTax that your return was accepted we won't get any more information from them.

Here are some other common reasons why your refund is not showing at Where's My Refund:
