Why do my 2017 state and federal returns say accepted by Turbo Tax and just return received by the Irs?

That means that the IRS has received your return from Turbo Tax but has not processed nor accepted/rejected the return yet. It can take up to 72 hours from when the returns were sent to the IRS and state for them to move from received to accepted/rejected.

Why do my 2017 state and federal returns say accepted by Turbo Tax and just return received by the Irs?

That means that the IRS has received your return from Turbo Tax but has not processed nor accepted/rejected the return yet. It can take up to 72 hours from when the returns were sent to the IRS and state for them to move from received to accepted/rejected.

"say accepted by Turbo Tax"
TT advises when they are Submitted and then when Accepted.

Accepted means the same as Received. Approved is a later step.
