Why can't amended fed return be efiled?

I need to file an amended federal return and want to know why TT won't do an efile?

Amended Returns can be done in the Turbo Tax Software, however per the Irs your Amended Return has to be Mailed in.

Intuit headquarters probably wont be of much help....this isnt a chatroom, this is a messageboard, it can take some time for someone to see your question and respond..... BUT you haven't given any details as to what you need help with, do you just want instructions for preparing and filing an amended return?
