Who else tax return is still pending with the irs?

have seen several people here who are also seeing that hold up.

The IRS "started" accepting tax return on 23 January....but there were a gazillion filed prior to the official startup....and waiting to be accessed.  The IRS computers cannot take care of all of these at the same time...may take all week to get thru the backlog.

Since they have historically been fairly random on which ones they access, sometimes a person who filed yesterday, is accessed before someone who filed 2 or 3 weeks ago..

I’m going through the same thing.. I filed Jan 13th and mine is still pending
