Where is my 2019 tax return?

Hello, i had a question about my tax return. I bought the Turbo Tax deluxe CD, and used it to download and install it on my computer to do my taxes. I filled my state and Federal taxes on March 12, 2020 and did both of them through e-file. I received an e-mail confirmation for both stating that the state and Federal returns were accepted. However, I have not received my money that was supposed to be refunded and its been a month. I'm worried and just want to know when i'll be receiving my money.

The IRS says 9 out of 10 filers who efile and choose direct deposit will get their Federal refunds within 21 days after being accepted. Some returns are processed fairly quickly, while others require additional processing due to specific items in the return. Some are pulled at random for more thorough investigation.

You said you efiled and have received emails that your returns were accepted.   You should also check the efile status from within your TurboTax program, if you haven't already done so, so it will be part of your saved file.

If those showed it was accepted, you can use the "Where's My Refund" tool at the IRS website below to monitor the status of your Federal refund.
https://www.irs.gov/Refunds

NOTE: When using that tool, use only the Federal refund amount, and not any total refund amount that includes a state refund.
The amount to use is on your Federal Form 1040, Line 21a.

Some state refunds can take quite a long time.   There are over 40 state tax agencies, each doing its own thing.  Some states are fairly quick with refunds, while other states (such as WV, WI, NC, GA, LA, AL, and others) can take a long time processing returns--even several weeks--as they crack down on detecting fraudulent returns.  You may be able to get an idea about how long it takes in your state from a statement at your state's lookup tool or from the FAQs at your state's tax agency website.

The FAQ I left in my answer above will take you to your state's refund lookup tool.
