Where do I find the form 8606 from past turbo tax submissions? How far back can I locate them?

I have been making non deductible contributions to a traditional IRA for years. I have also used Turbo Tax during that time. However now that I want to do a Roth conversion I cannot locate the forms 8606 from any previous years. They say they generate this form "in the background". Where do I find this "background" and print copies of my previously "supposedly" reported non deductible contributions?

I have pdf copies of my final turbo tax submissions all the way back to 2002.....but cannot put my finger on the 8606 forms from any of those years.

If I cannot find them. Then what should I do so that I so not pay tax twice on all those years of non deductible contributions?

any form generated by TurboTax, in the background or otherwise, if required, becomes part of you tax return and is attached.
And you will see it when you print your tax return.

Now you have to file a correct 8606 that shows "prior years basis", Line 2, the total of all those non-deductible contributions.

If 8606 appears suddenly on your filing, IRS may ask for additional documentation.

A 8606 is automatically created when:
1) You make a new non-deductible Traditional IRA contribution.
2) You take a distribution from a IRA that has a after-tax "basis".
3) You make a conversion of a retirement account to a Roth IRA
If none of those occurred, then the last filed 8606 remains in effect

Did you enter your past non-deductible contribution in TurboTax and specify that it was non-deductible?   If you did then the 8606 should be part if the tax return for that year.

If you did not specifically tell TurboTax that it was non-deductible then it may have been deducted. Check past tax returns 1040 line 32 for the deduction.   If no 8606 or line 32, you might not have entered it at all and not filed the required 8606.
