What if I accidentally checked box for savings instead of my checking for my return to be deposited into but I did provide the checking account routing an account number I don't have a savings account will it still deposit to my checking if I have that as the routing and account number to be deposited into even though I checked box savings ?
Will this cause any problem and or delay and can I have it corrected it's still been processed it says on where's my refund I tried calling irs but I was told by a very hateful lady there's nothing they can do I don't know what to do or if there is anything I need to or can do at this point
I don't wanna mess it up and have to wait on a check in the mail because it wasn't deposited into my banking account
Please help?!!!
The best thing to do would be to contact your bank and see if they will accept it. Some banking institutions will allow it and some will send it back to the IRS. if it is sent back to the IRS then you will be mailed a paper check.
