How long does it take to get my federal return?

Once your returns have been accepted , only the IRS would know when your Federal refund will be issued. The IRS states that tax payers will receive a refund within 21 days of their return being accepted with direct deposit, as long as there are no problems with the processing of their return. Tax returns with certain credits (EIC/ATCT) are being delayed.
