Whats going on?

I am having a hell of a time state and federal. I worked in Maryland on contract for 13 weeks my assignment stated Dec 7 2020. Maryland is saying I owe them 345 but my return says the owe me 500. I really want/need to get this squared away. My federal accepted 04/07/2021 but still no updated info. I am now leaving to a small remote town in Barrow, Alaska for 13 week assignment there. I mean "sugar" I really need them to be aggressive as I am. As a frontline worker, Respiratory Practitioner I am in need of some money havent work in about 3 months. Day after day and nothing and after a 3 hour hold they just tell me its still processing.  Has anyone found away to get the ball rolling with IRS? If so any tips would be greatly appreciated

we have no access to your returns and Turbotax receives no updates once a return is filed and accepted.

MD should send you a letter of explanation for the changes they made. if they don't your only recourse is to call them to get the details. you really don't have to wait for the letter.

As for the IRS, there is nothing anyone can do to speed up your refund.  sadly millions are in the same position and some have been waiting more than 13 weeks.
